Yesterday Dudley And Wife Went To See ...

one of the few surviving suspension bridges in Texas. It is called the Regency Bridge and spans the mighty Colorado River. It has been rebuilt a couple of times since it was originally built. In 1924 a Rancher and his two sons were driving a herd of cattle across the bridge when it collapsed killing the younger son and a bunch of cattle. In the 30's the bridge was heavily damaged by a flood. Dudley has been wanting to see this bridge for a long time. It is a long drive on a dirt and gravel road to get there but it was well worth the trip.
