A New Record Price Was Paid Last Year For Paul Newmans Rolex Daytona .,,

His wife Joanne Woodward bought it for him at Tiffanys. She had a message engraved on the back telling Paul to Be Careful. This watch sold for $17.8 Million. Dudley has a small collection of watches, but that is a little above Dudleys Pay Grade! Paul had given the watch to his daughters boyfriend. Decades later he sold it at auction!

Camping Along The Timbercreek By Jack Sorenson ...

A lone Comanche brave over-looks his camp in Palo Duro Canyon.  The Comanches called the Palo Duro “Sacred Canyon” and for a good reason.  It was heaven on earth to their people.  It had unlimited timber and water.  It sheltered them from the wind and there was abundant wildlife and buffalo.  On top of that, a friend of mine who owns a ranch near this location has a large vein of flint along one of his canyon walls.  The Palo Duro provided everything needed for the Comanche people.

Palo Duro Canyon is one of Dudleys favorite places in The Great State Of Texas!

Comanche Warriors Ready For Battle ...

Dudley read an interesting article today. Learned that during the years 1700 to 1810, when the Spanish were in the American South West, they often traded with the Comanche.  Dudley was surprised to learn that one of the major commodities the Spanish traded for were Mexican and Apache Slaves. The slaves were usually female. Male captives were usually killed by the Comanche, often in a brutal manner. Did not know the Comanche were Slave Traders!
