Dudley Was Not A Fan Of Johnson Outboards ...

Back when he was buying boats and motors. Dudleys first outboard was an Evinrude and his last was a Yamaha. Dudley has to say that back in the day, back in the 40's and 50's, Johnson built some great small and medium sized motors!

Buckshot Lane High Sheriff Of Wharton County .,,

Old School Lawman. Started out carrying a 9mm Lugar Pistol. After one of many shootouts he survived with desperados, he upgraded to a .45 Caliber Colt 1911. He was ahead of his time. He had a radio program back in the day putting the word out about criminals who were wanted. He would tell them to turn themselves in and would say don't make me come find you! It is said a lot of outlaws would do just that. Jess Sweeten of Henderson County would operate a little differently. He would give an unfired round to a friend of a wanted outlaw and suggest they turn themselves in. It usually worked. Buckshot raised money to buy an airplane to be used in law enforcement. His slogan was a Buck for Buck. When he raised enough money to buy the airplane, he had the name of all of the donors painted on the aircraft. There was a bridge in the area that had been the cause of several deaths due to a badly laid out approach. The bridge burned down suddenly after a particularally bad accident that resulted in 3 deaths. The DA offered to buy a new suit for anyone that would confess to the crime. No one came forward for over ten years. Finally Buckshot Lane confessed to the crime after the statute of limitations expired.  Buckshots action resulted in a new safer bridge being built. He told the DA to buy him a new suit as promised!
