Dudley Found One Of His Great Great Grandfathers ...
On Find A Grave. He fought in the Civil War for the CSA in Company F, 23rd Texas Cavalry. From what Dudley can find, he fought in several battles in Louisiana in the Red River Campaign. I thought he might have been at the battle for Sabine Pass Texas but his name was not on a list of participants. Dudley has relatives on both his fathers and mothers side that fought for the Confederacy. This probably explains Dudley's interest in the Civil War.
