Back When Dudley Was A Young Man ...
he looked forward to getting the new Garcia Fishing Annual. These were printed from 1958 to 1979 and showcased the Garcia line of rods, reels, lures and fishing tackle. The artwork that adorned the cover was always appealing as were the stories of fishing adventures and page upon page of photos and descriptions of brand new Bait casting reels and rods. They made quality and expensive equipment. Better than anything Dudley was able for afford at the time. But Dudley could for the price of the magazine which was one dollar in 1974, dream. And dream he did and caught a few trophy bass through the years, just like that one on the cover. The fishing annuals are gone, but the memories remain.
