Frank Took His Kayak Out To The Lake Yesterday ...

evening after his last college class. He could not wait to get out an go fishing for the first time this year. It was a great day to be on the water, little to no wind which is unusual for North Central Texas. He paddled a couple of miles and even though he did not catch any fish, he had an enjoyable few hours on the water. The highlight of the trip came when he paddled into a secluded cove and looked up on the hill side and saw two whitetail deer calmly feeding. Click on the first photo and you can enlarge it and get a better look at one of the does. This 3,500 acre lake is only about a fifteen minute drive away from Dudley's domicile. Dudley spent countless hours fishing that lake when he was in junior/high school and it is great to see Frank following in the old man's foot steps/boat wakes.

Comments:
That is a beautiful lake with a scenic view of the sun setting. No wonder you enjoyed going there as a kid and now closer to home makes it even better...glad your son is following in your footsteps also.

Beautiful shots.

Thanks Marian and FHB.
