Frank Sent Me A Text About Thirty Minutes Ago ...
he said he and his grandfather got in the deer stand before sunrise but did not see any deer or wild hogs all morning. They were going to go back to town to his grandparents house to eat breakfast. Frank is going to go back out to his stand by himself and hunt for three or four hours during the middle of the day. There was a full moon earlier in the week and the moon is still pretty bright which may be causing the deer and hogs to feed all night and then lay up in the brush during the day. Even so, they will get up at some point during the day and move around and feed or go to water. Next weekend is the dark phase of the moon so I know he is planning on hunting then. Not sure about the rut in East Texas this year. Chances are the peak of the rut is past but usually there is some secondary rutting activity around Thanksgiving. I know he is having fun hunting with his 82 year old grandfather and that is what it is all about.

Hey Hermit, I got good news from the MRI report in that it showed no abnormalities. Still do not know why my eye is acting up though. My main problem right now is an out of control teenage daughter.

Is it your red headed daughter giving you trouble? I thought everything had settled down.
