Today Is A Big Day For Watching Sports Around The Dudley Domicile ...

Dudley has been watching the Texas Rangers take on the Angels. The Rangers are down 10 to 5 and it is the bottom of the 9th as I type this. A loss today will just about do away with any hope of the Rangers making the playoffs for the first time in ten years. With Josh Hamilton and Michael Young both hurt and unable to play down the final stretch, the Rangers just were not able to quite get it done. Looking on the bright side, the pitching staff looked better than it has in years, the defensive play has been solid and the Rangers have a lot of young players so the future looks bright. Dudley would like to see the Rangers make it to the World Series some day. Who knows if that wish will be granted. Dudley's wife and daughter went to the game last night and were rewarded with a Rangers victory. Glad they did not go to today's game. Frank just left to go pick up one of his buddies. They are en route to the new Cowboys stadium as they have tickets to the first ever regular season home game. I do not know if they will be able to see the field or not as they purchased standing room only tickets. It was all they could afford. Jerry Jones has just about priced the common man out of going to the ball game. They may have to be content with standing in the outer concourse and watching on a big screen t.v. They both are young and strong as a couple of bulls, they both played high school football together on the offensive line. If there is any way to push their way to the front of the crowd to the limited standing room only positions with a view of the actual field, they no doubt will find a way to do it. He will always be able to say he was at the first home game in the new stadium if he lives to be one hundred years old. Dudley on the other hand will be quite content sitting in his recliner watching the game on television.
