The Space Shuttle Discovery Made A Stop Yesterday Afternoon ...

at the JRB/NAS Joint Reserve Base/Naval Air Station near where Dudley lives. I think it landed at Edwards AFB and was getting a piggy back ride back to the Kennedy Space Center on a NASA modified Boeing 747. It stayed long enough to refuel and give the crew a rest and i believe they continued on to Shreveport LA and spent the night. The Space Shuttle is probably back in it's hanger back home by now. The shuttle comes through town every so often, one of these days Dudley hopes to see it coming in for a landing. That would be pretty cool. Dudley has always been a big fan of the Space Program. Dudley grew up with Apollo and was ten years old when Neil Armstrong walked on the moon in 1969. Dudley has always been in awe of such things, which is the way it should be. Dudley would not have it any other way.
