Dudley Went For His Six Month Check Up ...

with his pulmonologist yesterday. Dudley was relieved he did not have do undergo a PFT (pulmonary function test) this time around. After thirty minutes in the waiting room, a nurse took Dudley back to examining room number 4. While he was waiting there was a commotion and Dudley looked out the door and saw two paramedics pushing a gurney down the hall towards the waiting room at the front of the office. Apparently one of the patients had an emergency and quit breathing and went into respiratory failure. They picked the right place to do so as this was the office of the doctor that saved Dudley's life after he went into respiratory failure in the hospital back in 1999. After a two hour wait, the doctor finally got around to see Dudley. He asked how I have been doing and I told him I was having trouble with allergies and congestion. I told him I had a sinus infection and he wrote a prescription for an antibiotic and put one refill on it as well. That was a win as Dudley does not like going to see his primary care physician if he can help it. Dudley's primary care docs waiting room is always overflowing with an assortment of coughing, sneezing people and when you go there you know if you were not sick when you go in the door you are apt to be when you leave. Dudley is not going to do much today. The Rangers are playing at 2:30 this afternoon. Dudley will watch the ballgame and hope the Rangers can somehow win the last of their four game series with Oakland. Go Rangers!
