Dudley Has Had A Difficult Week ...

and he is tired. The highlight came yesterday when Frank took his kayak down to the river and paddled up to the mouth of the creek he normally fishes further upstream. He only fished for a short time but he managed to catch one bass about a pound and a half in size. The water is still pretty cold for the fishing to heat up but it should continue to improve now from week to week for the next few months. He took his ultra light fly rod and spinning outfit. He caught the bass on the spinning rod and reel. I think he will be able to catch a lot more bass at this new location. At the old spot he was catching mostly bluegill and very few bass. What Dudley would give to be able to go with him and get out on the water. Frank's grandfather fished this same area almost seventy years ago with a bamboo fly rod. Dudley hopes he is able to look down from on high and watch his grandson whom he never got to meet following in his footsteps. Frank took the day off from his regular job with the lawn service today and mowed our yard and the yard of our neighbors that are trying to sell their house. He loaded up his truck and is now on his way to East Texas to visit with his maternal grandparents for the weekend. I hope he is careful and has a good time. Dudley's daughter is going through a difficult stage in her life right now and we are all very concerned. If you believe in the power of prayer, please pray for our daughter and our family. Dudley has seen a miracle or two in his life and Dudley believes in the power of prayer.

Comments:
Frank and my oldest would get along well. Two peas in a pod. I'm sorry to hear your daughter is going through some tough times. I will say a prayer for her.

Thanks Terri, and if Brad likes to hunt and fish, he and Frank would get along fine I am sure.
