It's Christmas Eve Around The Dudley Domicile ...

Dudley's wife and daughter just made a last minute run to the grocery store. Dudley and Frank and Lizzie just got back from a trip to the rifle range. Frank wanted to make sure the .243 was still on after our hunting trip to the Panhandle. The gun was still dead on and is hitting about an inch high at 100 yards. Lizzie shot the deer rifle for the first time and did real good for her first try. She hit the target all four times and two of the shots were in the bulls eye. The other two shots were about ten inches high. After some more range time, she will be ready to try to kill her first deer next season. I can't wait until she can follow in her father and brothers footsteps and bag her first deer. We are going to have homemade enchiladas for dinner tonight. After we eat, we are going to have some hot chocolate and marshmallows. Then it will be time for Dudley to read " A Plantation Christmas" by Archibald Rutledge. Dudley has been reading this story at Christmas for his kids since they were old enough to listen. It is a great story set on a South Carolina Plantation and describes a Christmas deer hunt, with friends and family. It is Christmas Eve, Peace on Earth, Goodwill and let's not forget the reason for the season, the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Comments:
Thank You Terri and Merry Christmas to you and your family!
