I went to lunch the other day and was driving down Highway 80, the old Bankhead Hwy that runs near where Dudley resides. I was nearing the Sonic when a motorcycle cop pulled into the east bound lanes going the wrong way right at Dudleys truck. Dudley stopped as did all the cars beside and behind. Dudley was looking trying to figure out what was going on. He figured a funeral procession must be approaching. Another motorcycle cop appeared over the crest of a hill going west bound. Dudley was looking for a line of cars to appear with their lights on . Suddenly Dudley saw something that appeared totally out of place. There was a large house slowly coming into view over the hill in the west bound lane. It is not everyday you have to yield the right of way to a house but that is what we were all doing. The house was moving at a snails pace as houses are want to do when they up and change locations. When the house got to the intersection, it changed direction moving into the east bound lanes coming right towards Dudley. When said house got within about 100 feet, it veered slowly back into the west bound lanes and managed the feat without running into the motorcycle cop or Dudleys truck. The officer then waved us on and Dudley went and ate lunch. I refuse to post the postage stamp sized photos so you will just have to use your imagination. Trust me , it was a big house.
