I'm a few years older than you, ahem-like 10 years, and never did get the Ithaca but had fantastic Christmases just the same. Only recently have I become a bit blase about the holiday. Maybe it's due to having an empty nest or something.

Here's hoping you and our family are enjoying the holiday.

Christmas never is the same after you grow up. It was fun when my kids were little but they are teenagers now and it is not like when they were small. I think the Ithaca came from Sears. I still have it and it is in great shape. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Boy, do I remember the white Christmas trees! Haven't seen a picture of one of those in a long time. Like the pic of you looking at your GI Joe.

We had those flocked trees for years. In 2004 they reissued a lot of the old GI Joes. I bought several of the new Joes and also several reissued Hot Wheels Classics sets. I have put them away, saving them for the grandkids I hope to have someday.
