Burger's lake today. According to their website, Burger's Lake is a 30-acre park with a full acre spring-fed lake for the best swimming ever. Millions of gallons of clear spring water top the sandy bottom. Completely chlorinated, filtered, and chemically maintained by a state-of-the-art purification system, the lake is clean and safe for your swimming enjoyment. This place is a throw back to the past. They have a great concession stand and the facilities and clean and well maintained. The park is located down in the Trinity River bottom and the spring fed lake is surrounded by 100 year old plus mature oak trees. There are over 300 picnic tables and 185 charcoal grills for cooking out. They have a water slide, diving boards and a trapeze for the kids. They have a staff of certified life guards. I spent many enjoyable hours there when I was a kid. There are sandy beaches and it is a great place to spend the day. It cost $12.00 a person for admission, kids six and under are free. No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the park. What I would give to be a kid again.
