Quote From The First Deer Hunting Book Dudley Bought ...

"But always look, when you are being selective, for a buck with dark-brown or mahogany-colored antlers. These are the vigorous bulls. Usually the bases are heavy, the tines long, and the deer carrying them is in prime condition."

Some Interesting Texas Deer Hunting History ...

 Location.      Texas

 Antlers          Typical

 B&C Score     185 1/8

From Field & Stream Record Bucks of History

Henderson Coquat bought the Apache Ranch in Webb County, fifty miles north of the streets of Laredo, Texas, in 1948. During World War II, Army Air Corps pilots had cratered the property with practice bombs and .50 caliber machine gun fire, and Coquat was not optimistic that many deer could be left on the ranch. But on December 28, 1949, he ran into a phenomenal 27-inch-wide 13-pointer on the Apache. When officially measured in 1953, the antlers scored 185 1/8 Boone and Crockett points, making it at the time not only the first Texas buck to crack the Boone and Crockett top ten of all time record book typical whitetail deer, but the world's record of the day.

Frank Installed Steel Security Bars ...

on our exterior doors today. Dudley ordered these on Amazon. Within a short time after the order, the guy that makes these called me personally to confirm the measurements. He said he had been selling a lot of them. We agreed with uncertain times it is smart to try to make ones home as secure as possible. These install with two lag bolts that are provided. You install the bolts on each side of the door frame. The steel bar easily slides and drops into place onto the heads of the bolts. Can be removed easily and put back quickly.

Dudley Bought A New Pair Of Shoes ...

online tonight. A pair of Adidas Superstar tennis shoes. They are white leather with green stripes. They look a whole lot like the Adidas Cross Country shoes Dudley used to wear in High School and College. Dudley has been wearing a pair of Addidas for the past 14 years or so that were white with blue stripes. Glad to have found a new pair with the old school look Dudley wore back in the day!
