Frank Got His First Turkey Gobbler This Morning ...

He made a 35 yard shot with our 89 year old Double Barrel Shotgun. He said they watched this Gobbler for over an hour on the far side of a wheat field over 100 yards away. The Gobbler could not resist the calling any longer and Frank said he finally started moving toward their  decoys out in front of him and his friend and guide Tim.  When the Gobbler got in range, Frank looked over and Tim gave him the nod. Frank took the safety off, put the brass bead on the head and pulled the rear trigger and sent a load of #5 lead shot down the left full choke barrel. The Gobbler hit the ground, kicked once or twice and Frank had his first Turkey!
